What stands out so far

Alaska Airlines is responsible for the largest expansion in this first wave. Its new Athens and Paris routes add eight weekly transatlantic departures from Seattle. Athens will be the first nonstop connection between the Pacific Northwest and Greece, while Paris places Alaska in direct competition with the existing Air France and Delta services.

American’s Philadelphia–Porto service is the only new route announced so far using a narrowbody aircraft. It is exactly the kind of thinner transatlantic market the Airbus A321XLR was designed to make possible.

Two announcements introduce additional competition on established routes: Alaska on Seattle–Paris and Condor on Chicago–Frankfurt. The other routes connect markets without current nonstop service.

No genuinely new Canada–Europe city pair has yet been announced specifically for Summer 2027.

More announcements are expected.

Methodology

The tracker includes scheduled nonstop passenger routes between the United States or Canada and Europe that are new to the operating airline for Summer 2027. Relaunches are included but identified where relevant.

The announcement date is the date on which the airline publicly confirmed the route. Frequency, season and aircraft are updated when airlines publish material schedule changes.
